Why don’t people use Guild Chat?
In our Guild, I consider Guild Chat to be the main messaging system. We “chat” in the first message on the Guild tab. When people join we say ‘welcome’ there; when people have questions they are generally asked and answered there.
So when someone asked me about Guild Chat, I was puzzled. I see people chatting. But they meant a different chat, one that’s up in the top right corner on a PC or the first icon on the right side pullout bar on mobile.
It isn’t used much in our Guild because we all tend to have multiple cities. When you’re moving constantly from city to city you don’t have much time to monitor an extra chat window. And the Global Chat – don’t get me started! Like most games the Global Chat can get pretty toxic. Personally, I avoid it like the plague.
But, you should know it’s there. Could be handy for coordinating things like rapid Great Building leveling and catching up with friends.
